Delete your Nailed account
You can delete your account and your data at any time, free of charge. It is immediate and permanent.
No account? Your tasks only live on your phone: uninstalling the app erases them.
From the app (fastest)
- Open Nailed and tap the menu (☰) at the top left.
- Tap My account.
- Tap Delete my account.
- To confirm, type DELETE, then confirm.
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.
Without the app
No longer have access to the app? Write to contact@nailed.so from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my Nailed account”. We delete the account within 30 days at most and confirm the deletion by email.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, username, password.
- Your personal lists and all their tasks and subtasks.
- Your sharing contacts, the invitations you sent and the notification identifiers of your devices.
- Your usage counters.
What is kept, and why
- Shared lists you own are handed over to the longest-standing other member rather than destroyed, so they don’t disappear for them.
- What you added or checked off in other people’s lists stays there, but is no longer linked to you: your name is removed.
- Technical backups from our hosting provider may contain a copy for at most 30 days, until they are replaced. They are never used to restore a deleted account.
